If you are not familiar with the Outdoor Recreation Alliance (ORA), check out the website and consider attending the “Summit”Wednesday. Based in La Crosse, ORA seeks to promote, develop, and protect outdoor recreation opportunities in the 7 Rivers Region of western Wisconsin, eastern Minnesota, and northeast Iowa. ORA is working to optimize “world-class” opportunities created naturally in our area for cycling, kayaking, mountain biking, cross-county skiing, hiking, bird-watching, sailing, and fly fishing.
FYI, some members of this group have been working to develop a safe route across the railroad tracks that separate the heavily used trails in the La Crosse River Marsh and Hixon Forest.
