URGENT! LaCrosse Homeless Warming Shelter Volunteers Needed

Please Spread the Word:

The La Crosse Area Emergency Supplemental Warming Shelter at Wesley United Methodist Church, 721 King Street, re-opened Sunday  and we are in need of multiple shifts throughout the week, but in the next 24 - 48 hours or so, the following shifts are needed. The number in parentheses indicated the number of volunteers needed.  Thank you for your assistance.

Monday, February 3: Midnight to 6:00 am (1); 5:30 am - 8:30 am (4); 8:30 am - noon (4); noon - 5 pm (3); 4:30 pm - 9:00 pm (3); 8:30 pm - Midnight (3)

Tuesday, February 4: Midnight to 6 am (3); 5:30 am - 8:30 am (4); 8:30 am - noon (4); noon - 5 pm (3)

Onsite training with written guidelines will be provided.  Desire to have 4 volunteers per shift.

Volunteer hotline:  608-782-1512    [email protected]

The guests are already calling and stopping by to see when we are re-opening. The Warming Center at First Baptist had to turn people away and the overflow at the Salvation Army took in folks. Several spent the night in parking ramps.

Thank you all for your support. Together we all make a difference. We are also scheduling later in the week.

Please forward to your friends, family, co-workers. Thank you.

Please feel free to contact me for additional information.

Love and Peace,

Rev. Ellen Rasmussen
