The Richland County Sheriff’s Department says Saturday a group claiming to have ties with the militant group ISIS had taken over the website for the County and replaced the organization’s page with pro-Islamic State messages.

The City of Richland Center and numerous other sites had been affected.  The group, calling themselves “Team System Dz,” has reportedly hacked hundreds of other websites with similar anti-Israeli, pro-ISIS messages.

The County was able to get their site back online.  The websites are hosted with another company and none of the County servers or data were compromised.  The Sheriff’s Department continues to work with the Hosting Company.

This was not an isolated attack.
